OAALMAC (Orthopaedic Appliances Artificial Limbs and Mobility Aids Centre) was established in February 1996 by Arun Solat, Orthotist, Prosthetist and Pedorthist. Arun Solat is a Bachelor of Orthotics and Prosthetics from Mumbai University's first batch of 1990. He gained quite a considerable experience in India and abroad in practice as well as research. He is the first Pedorthist practicing in India, who has passed from Dr William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, North Chicago, Illinois, USA. He earned his C. Ped. (Certification in Pedorthics) from Board for Certification in Pedorthics Inc, USA.

After working at several places in India and abroad, he started the present facility in Bandra West with a very humble background. “OAALMAC” his brainchild since then, has been flourishing and has kept the slow but steady growth. Now, OAALMAC is known to all the leading Hospitals, Orthopaedic Surgeons, General Surgeons, Plastic Surgeons, Diabetologists, Neurologists, Neuro Surgeons, Paediatricians, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists etc. and our numerous patients and their care takers.
